Before, this process could take up to a full minute. You are provided with a URL address displaying your exact location on Google Maps by giving you full access to Fused Location. The Get Location v2 feature allows for you to identify exactly where you are within the timeframe of about two seconds. The possibilities and variants of this feature are endless. For example, you can register your middle finger to automatically open the camera when you unlock your phone with it. Each finger is identified with a number, so you can set each finger to trigger certain actions within Tasker. These actions cause different customizable actions. You can trigger your device with actions including each fingerprint used to unlock your phone, holding an application down for more than one second, or hitting snooze on your alarm. This event logger allows the user to trigger certain events with different actions. The new Logcat Entry feature allows you to automate certain tasks on your device. You can also adjust the volume of specific applications as well. Factors that are determined by this include your location, the app you are in, WiFi network and received messages. For example, if you want to lower your volume every time you walk into your office to a certain degree, it can be done so automatically with Tasker. The Volume Adjustment features allows a user’s device to automatically adjust the volume in certain locations. Some people have even gone so far as to put a piece of tape over their cameras. With this ability in Tasker, you can disable your camera amongst all of your apps and be confident knowing that a stranger isn’t watching. There is a lot of talk in recent news about applications gaining access to your camera and leaving you vulnerable to people spying on you without your explicit knowledge. Another feature that is useful in terms of privacy is being able to enable/disable the camera system-wide. This enables users to maintain a higher level of privacy without needing to block anyone. With this new feature, you can filter out phone calls from specific users. Within the recent Tasker 5.9.3 update, the “Do Not Disturb” feature allows the user to dynamically alter the traditional Do Not Disturb settings under your Settings page.
