Medical consults to the patient’s primary care provider may be required prior to the initiation of definitive care.
Patients must be able to receive local anesthesia, be capable of getting into a dental treatment chair on their own, be medically stable to receive treatment, and not require services such as sedation or hospital based dental care due to physical or mental impairment. Additional appointments may be required to provide treatment after the initial assessment and diagnosis is completed. We have morning and afternoon appointments available Monday through Thursday and on Friday mornings only. The Urgent Care Clinic provides services by appointment. The services include, but are not limited to: The Urgent Care Clinic is triage in nature, so we will assess and treat your immediate dental need first or refer you to the appropriate department as necessary. The Urgent Care Clinic is designed for patients who are in pain and who wish to keep their teeth as well as new patients who do not want comprehensive care but have a particular dental issue. Our endodontists are experienced in periapical surgery and will consult with you about the best treatment. If this is true for you, surgery may help save your tooth. However, in a few cases, a tooth may not heal or become infected. Periapical surgery: Usually, a tooth that has undergone a root canal can last the rest of your life and never need further endodontic treatment. Our multi-specialty practice allows us to consult with oral surgeons, orthodontists and other experts to diagnose and refer you for treatment. Orofacial pain syndromes: Our endodontists are experienced in the prevention, evaluations, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of orofacial pain syndromes. Unlike external bleaching, internal bleaching brightens teeth from the inside out. Internal tooth bleaching: Internal tooth bleaching is used to whiten a discolored tooth that has had root canal treatment.
